Statement from the Major League Baseball Players Association

NEW YORK, June 19 – The Major League Baseball Players Association today released the following statement:

“MLB has informed the Association that it will not respond to our last proposal and will not play more than 60 games. Our Executive Board will convene in the near future to determine next steps. Importantly, Players remain committed to getting back to work as soon as possible.” --30--

NUEVA YORK, 19 de junio - La Asociación de Peloteros de Grandes Ligas emitió hoy la siguiente declaración:

“MLB ha informado a la Asociación que no responderá a nuestra última propuesta y que no jugará más de 60 juegos. Nuestra Junta Ejecutiva se reunirá en un futuro próximo para determinar los próximos pasos. Es importante destacar que los Peloteros siguen comprometidos a volver al trabajo lo antes posible.”
