The roster of historical influencers extends from Josh Gibson and Willie Mays through Rickey Henderson, Ken Griffey Jr. and Mookie Betts. In conjunction with Black History Month, the MLBPA will be posting a daily series of quotes and noteworthy moments -- on and off the field -- featuring some of the prominent figures who have helped shape the course of the sport for decades.
